Design your own amigurumi, get the pattern written for you

Every part of your animal is a shape crocheted in the round: a ball for the head, an egg for the body, tubes for arms and legs, cones for tails and long ears. The generator walks each shape one round at a time, works out how many single crochet fit around it for your yarn, and writes the rounds the way published patterns do: 6 in a magic ring, then increases and decreases spread evenly, with stitch counts after every round and assembly notes for where each part is sewn.

No. You tap a starter such as the bear, bunny or cat, or start from a body, then add heads, ears, arms, legs and tails from a tray. Sliders set the size in centimetres, a palette sets the colour, and you drag a part over the body to move where it is sewn on. There are no vertices, meshes or cameras to learn.

Standard round components use US single crochet, increases and decreases. Curved custom recipes can also use half double crochet, and scarves are worked in rows. Read the abbreviations and stitch counts in the generated instructions for your design.

Yes. Start with a yarn preset or enter measured stitches and rounds per 10 cm in Yarn and gauge. Ready-made parts keep their size settings and recalculate counts; custom components keep their recipe and change estimated size. Crochet a sample to check the result.

Yes. Create a component and edit its shaping sections and outline. Set the stitch count and repeated rounds for each section, choose an open or closed finish, and explore curved recipes for tails or trunks. You can save recipes in a component library on your device.

The Colour workspace paints whole pieces or exact round ranges, and rows on scarves. Use it to plan stripes and see colour changes in the pattern. Individual-stitch painting is not available yet.

The preview estimates the surface using the same stitch recipe as the instructions. Actual yarn, tension, stuffing and assembly affect the finished piece. Check your gauge and test-crochet new shapes, especially curved components.

Designing is free and needs no account. Your first full pattern is free, including copying and printing. After that you can unlock patterns one at a time or go Pro, the same as every other pattern on Knytstudio.

Yes. The designer runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, with one-finger turning, pinch to zoom and big buttons for the parts. Nothing to install.
